Home is all about sanctuary, not chaos. I know that my home is my refuge and when my house is in order, my world is better. My work is easier and life is a much smoother journey.
I cannot stress how important it is to organize your home. Once you've done that, the overwhelming desire to ignore that mountain of laundry and paperwork subsides. You feel confident that you can handle whatever.
After the "great clean", look for luxury items. Pieces of art and treasures that enhance your environment and add value to your home. Things that interest you. Maybe a wild chair that is sculptural or whimsical! A fabulous mirror or chandeleir that bounces light around the room. A wonderful painting that evokes a strong emotion. While you are debating what that fabulous new piece should be, enjoy the look. Browse your local shops and find out the story behind your favorite new item. Take it home and be chic!
